Mesh Banners in Glasgow, wind-resistant banner printing for fencing, scaffolding and hoarding
The right banner for anywhere the wind gets to: fences, scaffolding, gantries and hoarding across Glasgow.
Mesh lets the air pass through instead of fighting it, so the banner and its fixings survive weather that shreds solid vinyl. We print it on 330gsm perforated PVC, hem and eyelet it in-house, and size it to your site. Sheltered spot instead? Look at our PVC banners or the full banners and signage range.

From site photo to finished banner
Mesh jobs are spec jobs. The material only earns its keep when the size, seams and fixings match the site, so we start from where the banner is going, not from a generic size list.
Send the location
A photo and rough dimensions of the fence, scaffold or wall is enough to quote.
We spec and proof
Material, seams, eyelet spacing and fire rating matched to the site, proof to approve.
Print and finish
Printed on 330gsm mesh, hemmed and eyeletted in-house, 2-3 working days standard.
Collect, deliver or install
Collection from G3, delivery across Greater Glasgow, or on-site installation on request.
Built for exposed sites
Where mesh wins
If the location is exposed, mesh is nearly always the right call. These are the four places it does its best work.
Fence lines and site perimeters
Temporary fence panels around events and construction sites, printed panel by panel or as a continuous run.
Scaffolding and building wraps
Contractor branding and project boards on scaffold faces, where solid vinyl would act like a sail.
Hoarding and gantries
Development-site hoarding and overhead gantry positions exposed to wind from every direction.
Sports grounds
Pitch-side and perimeter sponsor banners that stay up for a full season of Scottish weather.
Mesh, PVC or something rigid?
The honest answer is that mesh is not always the right product. Solid 440gsm PVC gives richer colour and full opacity, which makes it the better banner for shop fronts, walls and sheltered positions. Rigid foam board and large-format posters beat both indoors. Mesh earns its place the moment wind becomes part of the brief.
That is why we ask where the banner is going before we quote. Send a photo of the site and we will spec the material, the seams and the fixings, and tell you if a cheaper option would honestly do the job. For trade-show work see exhibition printing in Glasgow.
Mesh banners, common questions
What Glasgow site managers, clubs and event teams ask before ordering mesh.
What is a mesh banner and when do I need one?
A mesh banner is printed on perforated 330gsm PVC with thousands of tiny holes that let wind pass through. Any banner going on a fence line, scaffolding, gantry or other exposed spot should be mesh: a solid banner in those positions acts like a sail and eventually rips its own fixings out. In sheltered spots, standard solid PVC gives stronger colour.
How much do mesh banners cost in Glasgow?
Mesh banner printing costs £3.45 per square foot with hemmed edges and brass eyelets included, with a £50 minimum order. Prices exclude VAT. Send the dimensions of your fence run or scaffold face and we will give you a fixed quote within the working day.
Can you print banners for temporary fence panels?
Yes, this is one of our most common mesh jobs. Tell us the make or measurements of your fence panels and we will size each banner to the panel with eyelets positioned for cable ties, either as individual panel banners or a continuous run across several panels.
Do mesh banners block the view through a fence?
Partially. The print reads clearly from a distance while the perforations keep maybe a third of the material open, so light and some visibility pass through. For full privacy screening on hoarding, solid PVC or rigid boards are the better choice and we print both.
How long will a mesh banner survive outdoors?
The material is rated for long-term outdoor use with UV-stable inks, and because wind loads on mesh are far lower than on solid vinyl, the usual failure points, torn eyelets and split hems, take much longer to appear. Sponsor banners we print for sports grounds routinely last full seasons and beyond.
Do I need fire-retardant mesh?
For council-regulated venues, public events and many construction contracts, yes. We supply B1 fire-retardant certified mesh at a 20 percent surcharge on the base price. If you are unsure what your site or event requires, ask and we will check the spec with you.
How quickly can you turn a mesh banner around?
Standard turnaround is 2 to 3 working days from artwork sign-off, including hemming and eyeletting. Express 1 to 2 day production is available subject to capacity, so call ahead if the site inspection is looming.
