Dates that matter for a Christmas window
Window vinyl is produced by our trade partner rather than on our own press, so we give ourselves a safe margin. If you need it faster, phone 0141 345 5841 for same-day or next-day and we confirm the timeline and the price on the call, though on vinyl the honest answer is usually a poster instead.
Order by 6 November
Proofed, printed and applied before the Glasgow lights switch-on, which tends to land around 14 to 20 November.
Last order Friday 11 December, 12 noon
Allow 5 working days from proof approval. This is our safe date for anything outsourced.
Take down by the end of January
Removable vinyl peels clean inside that window. We reopen Tuesday 5 January 2027 at 9am if you want the January sale graphics next.

Applying and removing window vinyl
Clean the glass first with a proper glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth, then let it dry. Dust and the film left by a wet wipe are the two things that stop vinyl sticking flat. Pick a mild day if you can, because cold glass makes the adhesive slow to grab.
Standard printed and cut vinyl goes on the outside of the glass, facing the street. If you would rather nothing sits outside, ask for reverse-printed vinyl and apply it from inside, where it reads correctly through the window. Cut decals come on application tape: position from one edge, squeegee from the centre outwards, then peel the tape back slowly at a low angle.
Take everything down by the end of January. Lift a corner and pull back slowly and it comes away without residue. Anything that is left shifts with warm soapy water. Leave seasonal vinyl up into spring and the sun starts to bake it on, which is when removal becomes a chore.
Alternatives printed in-house
If the 11 December date has gone, or the budget is tighter, these are printed on our own kit the same week and do most of the same job.
Who orders Christmas window graphics
Anyone with glass facing a street. The door decal is the one nearly everybody buys, because a customer who turns up to a closed shop on 27 December does not come back.
Shops and boutiques
Festive hours on the door, a gift offer in the window, snowflakes round the frame.
Cafes, bars and restaurants
Festive menu panels, party booking prompts and Hogmanay opening hours.
Salons and barbers
Gift voucher push in the window and the Christmas fortnight hours on the door.
Estate agents and markets
Seasonal office hours, market stall branding and a festive dressing for the front.
Christmas window graphics, common questions
What Glasgow shop owners ask us before ordering festive window vinyl.
When do I need to order Christmas window graphics?
Window vinyl is an outsourced finish through our trade partner, so allow 5 working days and order by Friday 11 December at 12 noon at the latest. If you want the window dressed for the Christmas lights switch-on, which in Glasgow tends to fall around 14 to 20 November, order by 6 November so there is time to proof, print and apply.
How much does Christmas window vinyl cost in Glasgow?
A white cut Christmas opening hours decal up to 400mm wide is £35, the 12-piece snowflake and festive decal set is £45, a printed A2 panel is £49 and a printed A1 panel is £89. A full window graphic is quoted within the working day once we have the glass sizes. All prices include VAT.
Do the graphics go on the inside or the outside of the glass?
Either. Standard printed and cut vinyl goes on the outside, facing the street. If the window is exposed to weather or you would rather not have anything on the outside, ask for reverse-printed vinyl, which is applied from inside and reads correctly through the glass. Tell us which when you order and we print it the right way round.
How do I apply window vinyl myself?
Clean the glass with a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth and let it dry. Cut pieces come on application tape: peel the backing, position from one edge, and squeegee from the centre outwards with a card or the plastic squeegee we include, then peel the tape off slowly at a low angle. Printed panels go on the same way. Do it on a mild day if you can, as cold glass makes the adhesive sluggish.
Will it come off cleanly in January?
Yes. We supply removable vinyl for seasonal work, and taken down by the end of January it peels off without residue. Lift a corner and pull back slowly at a low angle. If any adhesive is left, a little warm soapy water or a citrus-based remover clears it. Do not leave seasonal vinyl up into the spring, as sun and time make any vinyl harder to remove.
Can you apply the graphics for me?
For a full window graphic, yes, we quote the fitting with the print. For a single decal or a couple of panels it is a ten-minute job you can do yourself with the instructions we include, and we would rather you kept the money.
Can you design the window graphics?
Yes. Send your logo, your festive hours and whatever you want to say, and we lay out the decal or panel and send a proof before it prints. Simple hours decals are laid out as part of the job. Designed panels and full window graphics are quoted with the design included.
What if I miss the 11 December cut-off?
Switch to something we print in-house. A1 posters at £40 and A3 posters at £3.99 are printed in the studio the same week, right up to Wednesday 23 December for collection, and a poster in the window does most of what a printed panel does. Phone 0141 345 5841 for same-day or next-day and we confirm the timeline and the price on the call.
Send a photo of the window and the glass sizes and we will spec it and price it within the working day. Get in touch or see everything on the Christmas printing hub.
Have a project?
We'd love to hear about it. Whether it's a canvas print, a rebrand, or a full-stack build, let's talk.
